STAYC sells over 43,000 copies of new album “Stereotype” in a day

Girl group STAYC has surpassed their personal record in just one day.

According to Hanteo Chart, Korea’s largest music sales site, on the 7th, the sales volume of the first day of STAYC’s first mini-album “STEREOTYPE” released on the 6th totaled 43,617 albums.

This is more than 35,518 copies of STAYDOM, the second single, which is STAY’s highest initial sales, and it easily broke its own initial record just one day after the album was released.

Stay also topped the Hanteo Chart’s daily album ranking (2021.09.06.) with 43,617 copies sold in the first day.

“STEREOTYPE” is a new album that was released just 5 months after “STAYDOM” and their first mini album since debut. Black Eyed Pilseung, the representative producer of High-Up Entertainment, and Jeon Gun were in charge of producing all the songs.

In particular, STAYC’s title song “STEREOTYPE” was ranked at the top of Bugs’ real-time music charts right after its release, giving the members the joy of topping the music charts for the first time.
