Lisa’s solo album surpasses 730K copies sold in a week

BLACKPINK’s Lisa solo album recorded the highest sales in the first week of its release.

According to Hanteo Chart on the 17th, Lisa’s first solo album “LALISA” sold a total of 736,221 copies from the 10th to the 16th. The figure surpassed BLACKPINK’s first full-length album “THE ALBUM,” which recorded about 690,000 initial sales.

The Hanteo chart tally does not include some of the exports due to the nature of the album distribution structure in the U.S. and Europe. In the case of BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM,” it surpassed 1 million copies on the Gaon Chart album chart, including all exports, becoming the first million seller of a K-pop girl group.Lisa’s solo album “LALISA” is also estimated to have easily exceeded 800,000 copies, including overseas sales.

A YG official said, “BLACKPINK’s first full-length album has continued to increase sales at home and abroad since the initial tally period, recording a cumulative 1.4 million albums”.

Lisa is breaking new records every day on YouTube as well as album sales. The “LALISA” music video surpassed the world’s best solo artist record of 73.6 million views 24 hours after its release. And after surpassing 100 million views in two days, breaking the shortest record for a K-pop solo artists, it has maintained its No. 1 spot on YouTube for the seventh day.
