IZ*ONE’s reunion has been canceled

The reunion of girl group IZ*ONE has been canceled.

An official from CJ ENM said to E-daily on the 6th, “Until recently, we were talking with the agencies with various possibilities open, but (IZ*ONE’s reunion) “It didn’t happen in the end.” “We have asked for a lot of encouragement and support for the members’ future regardless of whether they reunite or not,” they added.

IZ*ONE is a 12-member girl group created through CJ ENM’s Mnet’s audition ‘Produce 48’, which aired in 2018. IZ*ONE began their activities in October 2018 and disbanded in April.

The group included nine Korean members, Kwon Eunbi, Kang Hyewon, Choi Yena, Lee Chaeyeon, Kim Chaewon, Kim Minju, Jo Yuri, Ahn Yujin, and Jang Wonyoung, and three Japanese members, Miyawaki Sakura, Yabuki Nako and Honda Hitomi. After the disbandment, the members returned to their respective agencies.

Meanwhile, last month, CJ ENM attracted fans’ attention as it was said that they were seeking to reunite IZ*ONE and where in talks with each member’s agency. At the time, CJ ENM said, “It is true that we are talking with the agencies with various possibilities open,” but added, “There is no decision yet.”

Apart from CJ ENM, some fans conducted crowdfunding to re-launch IZ*ONE’s activities. Through this, a large sum of 3.2 billion won was collected.
