Kwon Eunbi, a former member of the group IZ*ONE, will debut as a solo singer.
Her agency Woollim Entertainment said in a telephone conversation with Top Star News on August 5th, “It is correct that she is preparing an album. It will be released in August and we are working on finalizing the album.” Earlier in the day, Star News exclusively reported that Eunbi had confirmed her solo album for late August.
Eunbi first debuted in IZ*ONE by ranking 7th in Mnet’s survival idol show “Produce 48″s finale in 2018. IZ*ONE, which debuted in October of the same year after “Produce 48” ended, received a lot of love by releasing a number of hit songs such as “La Vie en Rose,” “Violeta,” “FIESTA,” “Panorama,” and “Secret Story of the Swan”.
However, IZ*ONE officially completed all activities on April 29th, and fans even funded the “Parallel Space Project” (PUP) to reorganize the group. CJ ENM and each member’s agency also left the possibility open, but eventually the team’s reorganization collapsed, leaving IZ*ONE members on their own paths.
Kwon Eunbi then released a cover video of a song with former band-mate Kim Chaewon. Since then, she has joined the global K-pop platform Universe, and recently, she has raised expectations by saying in an interview that she is preparing for a solo album.
Meanwhile, Eunbi will be the first member of IZ*ONE to release her solo album in August.
