BLACKPINK’s Lisa dominates the YouTube chart for second week

BLACKPINK’s Lisa has dominated the global YouTube chart for the second consecutive week with her solo album “LALISA.”

According to YouTube’s latest chart released on the 26th (2021.09.17-2021.09.23), Lisa’s title song “LALISA” topped the global YouTube Song Top 100 following last week.

During the same period, the world’s most watched music video was also “LALISA,” and the performance video of the album’s sidetrack “MONEY,” which was released on September 24, also recorded more than 30 million views in two days, ranking at the top of the popularity chart.

Lisa’s solo album “LALISA” has achieved significant results on various global charts other than YouTube.

“LALISA” topped the iTunes Top Song Chart in 72 countries, ranked second in the U.S. Billboard Global 200s, 84th in the Billboard Hot 100s, and 68th in the UK’s Official Chart Single Top 100, solidifying its presence in the mainstream pop market.

The music video of the title song “LALISA” achieved 100 million views in just two days after its release at 1 p.m. on the 10th, setting the shortest record for K-pop solo artists. It then surpassed 200 million views in about 13 days, breaking the record for the shortest K-pop female solo artist.

The initial sales of “LALISA” surpassed BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM” (690,000 copies) based on the Hanteo chart, well over 800,000 copies, including overseas sales. This is also a new record for a female K-pop artist.
