BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” surpasses 400 million streams in Spotify

Girl group BLACKPINK has achieved another meaningful milestone on Spotify, the world’s largest music platform.

According to YG Entertainment on July 28, BLACKPINK’s hit song “DDU-DU DDU-DU” exceeded 400 million streams on Spotify at 9 p.m. the previous day.

This is the third time that BLACKPINK achieved it, following “Kill This Love” and “How You Like That”. BLACKPINK is the only K-pop girl group with 400 million streaming songs on Spotify.

BLACKPINK has a total of 16 billion streaming songs on Spotify alone so far. “Ice Cream” (300 million), “As If It’s Your Last”, “SOLO” (300 million), “BOOMBAYAH” (200 million), “Playing With Fire” (200 million), “Whistle” (200 million), “Forever Young” (100 million), “Don’t Know What To Do” (100 million), “Pretty Savage”(100 million), “STAY”(100 million), “On The Ground”(100 million), and more.

The record of “DDU-DU DDU-DU” on YouTube is even more spectacular. The song’s music video has surpassed 1.6 billion views. The number of BLACKPINK’s YouTube subscribers has soared to more than 63 million.

“DDU-DU DDU-DU” is the title track of BLACKPINK’s first mini-album “SQUARE UP,” released on June 15, 2018. “DDU-DU DDU-DU” ranked 40th and 55th on the Billboard 200 and Hot 100, respectively.
