Around half a million people have watched “BLACKPINK: The Movie”

“BLACKPINK: The Movie,” which BLACKPINK introduced to mark the fifth anniversary of its debut, attracted nearly 500,000 viewers from all over the world.

According to distributor CJ 4D Flex and overseas distributor Trafalgar on the 20th, “BLACKPINK: The Movie,” which was released in more than 100 countries on the 4th, had a cumulative audience of nearly 500,000 as of the previous day.

It also obtained nearly $5 million in revenue, the highest sales among “Event Cinema” (a movie that shows event-like contents such as concerts and operas) released this year. It was released in Asia, Europe, North America and South America, with the largest cumulative audience in Mexico, the United States, Turkey, Brazil and Japan. The movie will soon be released in more countries.

It contains live performances of BLACKPINK’s online and offline concert, intense image cuts of the four members, and unreleased interviews. Beyond just seeing BLACKPINK in the theater, it is well-received for providing a musical experience that reminds of a concert hall.

Meanwhile, the girl group made their debut with their digital single album “SQUARE ONE” in 2016, leaving hits such as “Whistle,” “BOOMBAYAH”.
